We arrived home yesterday afternoon from Palm Springs and I immediately unpacked, straightened up, ordered groceries, and got my life together for the rest of the week. I do this every time we come home from a trip… something about the routine helps me get back into the real world…. and it seems as if people fall into one of two categories when it comes to this arena… you either unpack right away (me) or it takes you until your next trip to empty the suitcase (TJ)…..
All that aside, today I’m rounding up some of the cutest nursing friendly tops, dresses, and rompers/jumpsuits for summer. Just like with my pregnancy style, none of these pieces are specifically meant for nursing… they simple work because of their design. So, if you’re not nursing, then consider this a round-up of some super cute pieces for summer… and if you are nursing, hopefully this helps you feel stylish while having a little one hanging there….

DRESSES
Dresses can be tricky… I mean, you can really pull it up like you might a regular tee. Yet, during the summer months I love tossing on a little dress for a day out…. so the dresses I’ve selected make nursing out and about seamless….
Chambray Button-Up: Love this option for brunch or work.. you can easily wear with slides or sneakers, depending on your activity of choice.
Button-Up Strapless Maxi Dress: I wore this little number out to dinner in Palm Springs. No only was it waistline friendly for postpartum, it was airy + breezy… perfect for the desert heat. The strapless neckline makes it very nursing friendly… or you can always opt to unbutton the front buttons.
White Long Sleeve Dress: This is a great dress for those cooler summer evenings… and the ribbed material is great for summer. It can easily be dressed up or down as well… wedges for a night out… flats for brunch… and sneakers for daytime.
Blue + White Stripe Dress: This cotton shift dress is too cute for summer… love the stripes and the shape of the dresses… perfect for those warm summer days.
White Button-Up Dress: I actually bought this dress when I was pregnant, in anticipation for a cute, nursing friendly, dress for summer. It’s a great material, with some slight stretch to it. I haven’t worn it quite yet though because it was a tad too tight in my lower belly area. I’ll probably give it a go, with some shape-wear, in the next few weeks.
V-Neck Button Down Dress: Coming in under $25, this dress is a steal. Cute shape for summer, and love the ivory color for a fresh look. I’d even wear it as a bathing suit cover!
Ruffle Tiered Dress: Another option I wore this past weekend. It’s a super flattering fit and hangs nicely on the body. It easily buttons up and down. I wore it as a bathing suit cover-up, but with a simple slip it can easily work for everyday wear.
TOPS
Blush Knotted Tank: A super simple, everyday, option… wear with cut-offs and a straw hat for a casual daytime look….
Stripe Central Shirt: I think this is a great option for a casual work environment, or off duty paired with a pair of cut-offs or comfy shorts….
Leopard Wrap Top: I bought this top a couple of weeks ago, thinking it may or may not work, and it’s great. A nice, dressier, option. It has an inside button that makes opening it a cinch.
Vintage Button Front Top: Love the unique shape of this top… would be super cute fully tucked into cut-offs.
Casual White Button Up: I own this top and it’s a great casual option… I wore it with these joggers, but you can also dress it up, or even wear it to work.
Stripe Button Up: The button details + peasant style sleeves on this top are super cute… and I think it’s perfect for summer day!
Black Button Up: Own this top and it’s great! The material is a crepe like material and it hands nicely on the body. Comes in several color options. Another great option for work as well. I sized up for a looser fit.
Sleeveless Blush Top: Such a great option for summer… especially for the office setting. You can front tuck this top with cut-offs, or wear it with white jeans and cute slides for a casual evening.
ROMPERS + JUMPSUITS
Because summer just wouldn’t be complete without them….
Strapless Stripe Jumpsuit: Such a cute option for a vacation, afternoon brunch, or day at the pool. The strapless neckline allows for easy access (like my dress above).
Black Utility Romper: I ordered this one while I was compiling this post because I think it’s such a great, basic, choice for the summer season. Still waiting to receive it, but I think it will be on heavy rotation.
White Jumpsuit: Dress it up, dress it down, your summer wardrobe will love having this crisp little number in it…
Black Tie Front Jumpsuit: A super chic option that can be paired with a cute slide or wedge, depending on your mood….
Linen Tan Romper: This might be one of my favorite options in this entire post. I own it, love it. Lightweight, loose fit, and the button detailing is spot on. I know that I’ll be reaching for it all summer long!
