Weekend Recap || Returning To Routine

(A little rosé tasting to kick off the weekend…. my fav ended up being Miraval)

I love routine. Always have. Yet, it’s always nice to getaway, like we did last week, and throw routine away for a little while. Not worry so much about nap schedules, sleep in a little later than usual (ok, 8am), go to bed later, shorter workouts, different eating patterns…. you get my point. Yet, by the end of the vacation… and then a relatively celebratory weekend, I’m ready for routine to return. I might even be so bold as to say I’m desperate for it to make an appearance.

For me, routine helps me stay on track and feel centered. I find myself feeling better (both physically and emotionally) when I know I have my routine to fall back on every Monday morning (the silver lining to a Monday I guess….). So, as we embark upon the week ahead, I’m looking forward to routine workouts, routine meals (so excited for this one), routine evenings (with one small mom’s night thrown in there…), and starting a new book. While vacation is a great way to vacate everyday responsibilities, I’m welcoming back the routine of everyday life (… I’m sure that will last for a few weeks until wanderlust hits again….). Here’s to a week of getting back on track! Have a good one friends. xx

(Saturday morning return to Soul Cycle….)

(Followed by avocado toast at KIT Coffee…. so good…. TJ had the breakfast burrito…. which was better….)

(Followed by a Saturday in an oversized tee + stretchy pants….)

(Sunday morning brunch with the family…. (sweater, Harper’s jacket, pants)

(Fresh blush tulips to start the week… (sandals))

Looking forward to getting back into a clean eating and workout routine. I’ve been loving the TIU series, and this week looks like it has a lot of good stuff planned… especially today’s HIIT workout (which I think I will run through twice). I will also be sharing a smoothie recipe for Wellness Wednesday, but in the meantime try this beauty smoothie to start the week of on the right foot! I’m also considering buying this little red crop top as a little extra motivation!

In the spirit of getting back into a routine, basics are moving back to the front of my rotation. I’m loving this blush tie front oversized tee, stripe blush and white pullover tee, basic v-neck tank (I love the grey), and this adorable peplum tee (I like it in the black stripe and grey… but it comes in so many pretty color options). I also love the lace back on this otherwise basic white tank. Super cute. A few other pieces I’m wearing non-stop include this distressed white tee (also comes in grey + black) and this basic camisole (in the pink color, but also own it in white). I also love this floral top , blush tunic halter (so so cute), light blue cozy poncho (perfect for warm summer nights), and this chambray off the shoulder top… both can easily be dressed up or down based on accessories.

And since I love joggers so much, I’m considering purchasing a new pair. I’m debating between this blush option (!!) and these slender fitting grey ones. These retro crop sweatpants are also high on my list… perfect for post spin errands.

A few pairs of slides I came across and thought would be perfect for summer include this double strap option, with the slightest heel. I personally love the white and blush colors. chambray slide sandal (with the cutest pattern and slightly platformed)… and how cute are these blush kicks?

Lastly, my sister’s bachelorette party is in two weeks out in Palm Springs. We have so many fun things planned, so I’m looking at a fun dress for the first night…. I love this low back lace option (I’m leaning towards the black… but the poppy color is gorgeous too), low back maxi dress, and this deep v slip dress. For pool time, I’m obsessed with this crochet cover-up in black and this floral fringe kaftan.
