20+ Styled Outfits From September’s Capsule Wardrobe

It was 90 degrees yesterday, and the thought of wearing anything covering my legs and/or arms made me sweat. Given that it’s still technically summer for another six days, I figure I don’t have room to complain about how hot it is. Yet.

So if you’re like me, and sort of ready for a wardrobe change, but the weather is precluding that, here are a few tips I follow:

1. Bring in darker colors: I’m all about whites and lighter shades in the summer season, so when fall hits, I like to darken it up a bit… chocolate browns, navy, black, greys, merlot… I still keep in ivories, I just tend to pair them with warmer hues.

2. Bring in fall elements: If the outfit can’t be all fall, then elements of it can be… a suede bag, felt fedora (over straw), clogs versus sandals, and maybe a sweater with shorts or jeans with a tank (depending on temps). Example? I’ve been wearing this little suede bag so much with my summery outfits and it feels like the perfect addition of fall.

So below you’ll see both a mix of summer outfits and transitional outfits… with the same two tips above in mind.

With that, I hope you have a wonderful day ahead!
