When I’m looking to pull myself out of a monotonous rut (you know, the same thing over and over again…), I seek out the company of those I love and do something fun. To pull myself out of a clothing rut? A good striped shirt. So… that’s exactly what I did Tuesday afternoon…. I threw on my new favorite striped peplum top (next to white tops, stripes take second place as an #obsession) and headed down to the beach with my mom and sister (Harper in tow too) for a little girl’s day. We walked around a little, lunched a little, and laughed a lot.

It was one of those days down at the beach where the sun was out, and there was the slightest breeze…. which essentially equated to a beautiful day. Those days are typically my favorite…. they’re typically the ones where anything goes…. you’re good if you opt to eat inside or outside, you’re good if you drive with the sunroof back or the AC blowing, and you’re good if you wear jeans or shorts. So, I naturally opted for a favorite pair of jeans, tossed on my new favorite slides and bag, and away we went. It was one of those days where you walk away feeling full (both in the belly and heart) and recharged for the rest of the week.
