Each year, before returning to school, it was time to pick out a new backpack. The design was wholly dependent upon what television character I was loving at the moment (I’m slightly embarrassed to admit one might have had Rugrats on it….). As I matured (as in, entered the world of middle school) they became slightly more refined… and so the maturity of choice continued into high school (ultimately landing on a North Face version), until I entered college and it was time to give the back a rest and simply torture the shoulder for 4 years with tote bags (probably save that for another time and another post…).
Now, they’ve returned. I hesitated, and then pulled the plug. Why? Well, they’re more refined than my childhood version and perfect if I want a hands free, shoulder free carryall. I wore this little one all throughout wine country, and love tossing it on with some leggings and a tee for a day of errands, or dressing it up for a lunch date with my little family… and when pairing it with this little off the shoulder top, it’s like I’m in a more refined time warp.
I’m loving a few different backpacks too… all at different price points. A super cute, and excellent price point option, is this black fringe option (that looks exactly like this more expensive version). This option comes in two different colors with a cute tassel. I think this pink option is perfect for summer and this mixed textured version is super chic.
