When TJ and I were trying to decide where to go for our last baby-moon weekend I insisted on Santa Barbara, mainly for the mild temperatures and laid back vibes. We opted to stay at a new hotel (for us) and fell in love with The Belmond. It’s located high in the Santa Barbara hills and lends its guests breathtaking views of the coastline. Being slightly more secluded than previous Santa Barbara hotels we have stayed at forced us to really slow down for the weekend. For night one, we opted to stay on the property, take in the sunset, and dine outside under the heated patio with the breathtaking star filled sky.
I knew that I wanted to wear something that would keep me warm, but also allow me to dress up a bit (I love a good old dressy date night). I opted for this new boho blouse and decided to top it off with this faux fur stole… which kept me warm and toasty (along with this leather jacket). I’m still pulling out the heels when I can… they give me that little something extra that I’m looking for when I’m headed out for the night.
Post dinner, we headed to the lobby (it was literally 15 steps) to listen to some Christmas music on the piano, a little hot coco, and a cozy fire place. Once we finished, I couldn’t wait to head back to our little casitas to watch a Christmas movie cuddled up in the cozy comforts of the room.
