The Ultimate Comfort: A Laced Up Chunky Knit

Growing up, when my sister and I would go to the mall with my mom, we loved to stop and feel every item we walked by…. and always made an extra special stop at the über soft pieces.

In the middle of summer, I’m a fan of blasting the air conditioning, cuddling up under a blanket, and wearing my softest sweatshirt.

When rainy season rolls in, my ideal day would involve wrapping myself up in my coziest sweater and socks all while sipping hot coco.

What do any of those three situations have to do with today’s post? Well, this right here is my ideal fall daytime look… which can all be summed up in two words. Casual comfort. I guess I’ve always been about comfort. It’s when I feel most confident. I’m relatively minimalistic in the way I dress… an oversized tee and a pair of jeans…. a dress with a jacket…. leggings and my favorite pair of kicks. I’ve always felt that simple was the best. That to feel stylish all I needed were simple and basic items…. and this fall, I’m loving the lace-up options. They’re a perfect way to add dimension to any piece. I’ve purchased several over the past couple of months, but this sweater is one of my recent favorites. It’s super soft (i.e. comfortable), the perfect level of thickness (not too heavy, not too thin), and I always have trouble passing up anything grey. As always, pairing anything with my distressed jeans gives me just the look I’m going for.

I’ve rounded up a few other lace-up options that I am looking at as well. I’ve recently discovered the brand Maven West. They have some pretty amazing lace up pieces. Some of my favorites include this grey peplum top, black ruffle lace-up, and this charcoal grey sweatshirt (can I just have them all please?). I also think this lightweight cream colored sweater (which comes in 3 color options) is perfect for a warmer fall day, as is this black and white striped top. There are also a couple of great dress options out there like this cream colored sweater dress or this grey long-sleeved option. This open-stich tunic is gorgeous and I think this marigold color is pretty fab as well.
