Weekend Recap

itsy bitsy indulgences {Fresh pink blooms and a new book to start the weekend}

The last weekend of summer went out with a bang… and by bang, I’m referring to the heat wave that settled in over these past few days.  Every year I expect summer temps to have vanished by now, and every year I end up being disappointed by the stifling weather… and each time I realize this pattern I can’t help but laugh at myself. Despite the temps, I still managed to bring a little “fall” into my life. Starting with some chocolate chip pumpkin bars (thanks to Trader Joe’s box mix :)) and a new panama hat, which I can’t wait to wear with increasing frequency as temps slowly decrease. Wherever you are… and whatever your temps might be, I hope you had a great weekend and a fast week :)!

Heading to San Francisco this weekend to visit a good friend (and some cooler temps!!) and have these items on my SF wish-list: the perfect camel colored knit dress (which is currently 20% off), a simple black and white midi dress (paired with a leather jacket), silver cap toed slip-ons, this burgundy faux suede shift dress, and this sleeveless chunky sweater (perfect for the fall-summer transition).
