Weekend Recap

Shannon: This was a “let’s see how it all unfolds” kind of weekend. We went to bed Friday evening without any plans, just knowing that we wanted to have a relatively decent workout in the morning and a BBQ on Saturday night. Saturday morning came and a 28 mile bike ride, a couple açai bowls, and a stop at Whole Foods and we were ready for a 3bff’s (that’s me, Allison, and TJ) BBQ. Sunday consisted of mostly the same, another quick trip to Whole Foods (I have come to find that this is a semi-happy place for me….) and now here we are, about to close out the weekend. I love weekends that involve all that this one did. A little bit of fitness, and little bit of indulgence (usually via craft cocktails and vino), and loved ones. In my opinion, it’s the perfect combination for a delightful time 🙂

Allison: For the past two weekends, almost everyone in my life has either had plans, work, or has been out of town, and it’s made for some pretty substantial alone time…maybe more than I’ve wanted in complete honesty? Which is why I jumped on the invite to Shannon and TJ’s Saturday night…what’s better than family, delicious BBQ ribs, and cocktails/wine (and probably the most complex board game in the entire world)? For the end of the weekend, I saved a complete “self-care” day, which consisted of mani/pedi, primping for an upcoming tropical vacation, and a nice, glass of wine and a movie to wind down. With all this relaxing, I’m definitely ready for an adventure!…
