Weekend Recap

You ever have those days/weeks where you just pause, look around, and realize just how good you have it? When you actually take a few moments (not just one!) to appreciate the people around you, the place where you are, and the things around you? That was what this weekend was for me. Shannon and I spent most of the weekend with family, and it wasn’t until late Saturday night and some honest conversation with Michael that I realized how profoundly grateful I was for the support and love that I’m constantly surrounded with.

Which is why, in the wake of Valentine’s Day being so close, I am reminding myself to pause and appreciate the amount and different forms of love around me on a daily basis. I’ve recently been processing how much has been changing in life lately (at least for me), and it would not be nearly as smooth a transition without the unconditional love of family, friends, roommate, etc. And to top it all off, in the midst of recognizing this, I’m realizing through some pretty intense sessions with clients just how fortunate I am to have these kinds of loving relationships so abundantly in my life. So this week I’m celebrating all kinds of love: familial, friendly, self-love, romantic, etc. Because any love is worth celebrating!
