Weekend Recap

pink and orange roses {Beautiful pink and orange roses to start the weekend}

This was a weekend filled with movement and activity. Early Saturday morning a U-haul truck (and trailer) pulled into the driveway and we loaded it up to move Allison down the freeway a few exits. There were the usual moving mishaps… like… how do we get a refrigerator up a flight of (very) narrow stairs? Hmmmm… head scratcher there. Well, four strong men and one minor-ly dented refrigerator later (oops), it was in place and making ice. Then it was the couch’s turn. Mom and I made lunch runs, helped put together Allison’s room, and made sure all the dishes were in place (and took off those annoying little price tags… talk about a newly manicured hand’s worst nightmare…). All in all it was a success.

And since a heat wave decided to visit us Californians this past weekend we headed down to the beach on Sunday for a little brunch and sun.

If there is anything that I was able to take away from the weekend is that I often times don’t know what I would do without my family… support, love, and laughter was abound this entire weekend…. and that’s something I truly cherish. I hope you all were able to find a little something to cherish about the weekend!

With a few trips (one of us requiring a bathing suit) right around the corner, this Women’s Health Weekend Challenge will certainly whip that bum in gear. Summer bodies are made in the Winter, right??

In the spirit of the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday, I’m loving these pink and red treats… this jacket, pink pumps , and cute socks!

Have a great week!

    Where do you buy your flowers from?? They are always so gorgeous!

    • Shannon&Allison says:

      Thank you! These roses were actually from Costco… they have some of the prettiest I have seen. I usually head to Trader Joes/ Whole Foods for my flowers and I will occasionally head to little flower stands if I want something a little more fancy. I feel like flowers are such an easy way to liven up a living space 🙂 Hope that helps!

  2. Love that bar table!! Where from?

      Thanks! It’s home goods! They had silver and gold options 🙂
