Weekend Recap

I love this quote: it reminds me of how important it is to remain an individual, and to never stop discovering our own “special light.” I find myself struggling to remember this throughout the week, as I go through my routines, attempting to meet billing percentage at work, scrambling to get all of my paperwork done, trying to squeeze in time for the gym, errands, etc. So often I find myself being so mind-less that I forget simple things like where I put my keys 30 seconds ago, or mindlessly entering the wrong freeway. This weekend I was reminded about the importance of pausing. Taking time to breathe. Recollecting myself. Refocusing on MY goals. Not my work’s goals, not my doctor’s goals…my goals. After all, [cheesy as it sounds] we all have that “special light” to shine, and when we get so bogged down by life’s obligations, we lose sight of the privilege and adventure it is to find and exude it. So coming out of this weekend, I’m making a goal for myself to live more mindfully this week, and enjoy and appreciate the adventure I’m on. Join me, won’t you? 🙂
