Stripe T-shirt Dress

stripe dress

The making of this outfit was less than glamourous. It was a hot and humid day in Palm Springs, where it essentially rained off and on all day (keep in mind, it RARELY rains in Palm Springs… this would only naturally happen to TJ and me). When it came time to decide what to wear to dinner, the last thing I wanted to do was put a lot of thought into the ensemble. I sat in front of the suitcase (which, of course, was full of items that I did not need… that over packing thing hasn’t gotten better) and decided on “shapeless.” That pretty much sounded like a perfect combination given the weather and the minimal amount of effort I was willing to exert. Yet, I realized the little belt that went with the dress didn’t quite make it into the suitcase (this was due to my rushed packing the morning of). My MacGyver skills kicked into action (well, not really) and hence the utility jacket. I mean, it certainly was not anywhere near cold enough to wear it, but I thought it looked cute, so it made the cut!
