The Trench

IMG_9695

I’m always torn when the colder weather comes. Don’t get me wrong, I love, love, love scarves, sweaters, and boots, but sometimes I just want to wear something that has a little “sass” to it. Like this cut-out peplum top from LuLu*s. It’s kind of like the saying ” business in the front, party in the back,” don’t you think? I just adore the cut out details in the back! It’s the perfect balance between classy & refined with a little sass. Life is all about balance, and that extends itself to fashion. This top, paired with the perfectly classic trench coat and flared jeans, adds the right amount of sophistication. Toss in the leopard pumps (with the cut out back) and you’ve added just the right amount of “party” to an otherwise “business” ensemble!

And can I just say how much I LOVE this chevron print necklace from Wild Butterfly Boutique (check out the bow version here… and enter to win!)? The tartan scarf (which I also can’t get enough of this season) and some of my favorite rings added just the little extra pizzaz that I was looking for!

  1. Love, love, love this entire look! And that top? I agree, gorg! Wishing right now that our so Cal weather was cooperative for the whole scarf and coat… that top, though, is perfect for our warmer days!
