Orange & Polka Dots

Lately I’m finding myself drawn to the color orange. Orange nail polish, tops, etc. It’s such a bright and cheery color, and there’s a unique-ness to it that is so different from any other color. Plus I also think it’s a great transitional color between summer’s bright and cheeriness and fall’s warm, deeper colors. I chose to pair the orange top with something equally fun on the bottom…and what’s more fun than polka dot pants?! And this necklace is the perfect accessory for such a bright, feminine outfit. I was a little hesitant about wearing such a bold piece with already bold bottoms, but sometimes that extra boldness in your outfit is an itsybitsyindulgence in itself, right?!

I added this new bracelet from our friends at LA KAISER, which I love because they handcraft their pieces in America which supports our economy, and they donate a percentage of their profits to a scholarship foundation in Africa, helping underprivileged people receive an education…talk about guilt-free jewelry! Sunflowers are my favorite flower, so I thought they went nicely with the outfit. To finish it off I threw my hair up with simple makeup to accentuate these bold, stand-out pieces to let my outfit do the talking!
